I’m Renata Anna Larkin, a painter based in East Yorkshire. Creativity has always been a quiet force within me—something that needed to be expressed visually. Painting became the language for that feeling, a way to give it voice.

After losing my husband, my everything, painting became my sanctuary. Each brushstroke turned into a silent conversation with grief—a way to transform pain into colour and silence into meaning.

My work is not about forgetting; it is about honouring love while rediscovering strength. Through layers of texture and light, I seek to capture the fragile beauty of healing. Bold colours and rich textures allow me to convey emotion in ways words often cannot.

My process is intuitive and expressive, shaped by feeling and movement. I create pieces that speak to the heart and stir something within the viewer.

Nature is a constant source of inspiration, especially the sea and skies—their beauty, serenity, and power captivate me. I often reflect their moods and rhythms in my paintings, through sweeping brushstrokes and vibrant palettes.
